Trekking in Manasalu
Area
Pristine
mountain views, rich culture and genuine adventure sum up the trek
experience around the 8156m Manaslu. Opened in 1992, this area offers a
combination of rich culture heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological
diversity. Beginning in Gorkha, home of the celebrated Gorkha soldiers,
visit the ancient palace of King Prithivi Narayan Shah. Soon after
civilization fades and we pass though ancient villages, observing the simple
agricultural habits of its people. Then we ascend the Gandaki River valley,
fed by innumerable rivers and waterfalls, offering the chance of a plunge
into some bathing pools. From here, the strenuous section begins and yaks
begin to outnumber people in the rocky landscape.

Kanchenjunga is one
of the most remote and beautiful areas in Nepal which, unused to foreign
visitors, still lies shrouded in mystery. The features of the walk in are

wildlife. This includes musk deer, blue sheep and, for the believer, the
Yeti! Magnificent views of Everest, Makalu and the Kanchenjunga massif will

Trek in Makalu Area
This region is
blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Due to
its isolation and lack of teahouses in this area still receives few
trekkers. Sherpas, Rais, Limbus are main habitants in this region. Walking
north up the Arun river to Seduwa and Num, then crossing Barun La (4110m)
into the upper Barun Khola Valley for a close look at Mt. Makalu (8463m).
You can put together an even wilder trek by crossing Sherpani-Col and West-col
into the upper Hongu Valley. The second part of the trek is very difficult
and almost impossible without previous experiences.

Trek in Mustang Area
Jomsom is the district headquarters for the
Mustang region of Nepal. To many people however, Mustang implies the area of
Nepal that extends like a thumb into Tibet. This is the region described in
Michel Piessel's book Mustang, and includes the walled capital city of
Mustang, Lo Mantang. This part of Mustang, however, is on the list of
restricted areas.
